About Byron Bay & Bangalow Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine
I’m Olivia and I’m a Dr. of Chinese medicine (BHSc (Hon)(CM), BA (H)) Acupuncturist and Herbal Medicine Practitioner.
I have loved Chinese medicine ever since my first treatment way back when I was 12. I was taken by the way it made me feel, by the powerful, gentle and inherent way it restored my health…and by its mystery.
Now, I absolutely love practicing Chinese medicine and am continually inspired by the positive impact Chinese medicine has on the human body, mind, spirit and lives of the people I treat.
I am committed to helping you achieve the best possible outcomes so that you can get the most out of your life. I have a special interest in gynecological conditions, pain, anxiety and depression and in supporting people undergoing treatment for cancer.
I completed my Bachelor of Health Science degree (Honours) Chinese Medicine (Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine) at Southern School of Natural Medicine in Melbourne. I am registered with APHRA (CMR0002169679) and a member of AACMA (3487).
I have also completed postgraduate study in acupuncture for oncology at The Mater Hospital North Shore Sydney, postgraduate training in the Si Yuan Balance Method to help manage complex illness and chronic pain and have completed research-based acupuncture training to treat anxiety, depression and sleep disorders. I have completed many hours of observation with internationally renowned herbalists and acupuncturists so that I can bring the very best standard of care to you.
In addition to Chinese Medicine I am also a qualified (1200 hours) yoga teacher with specialised training in Yoga for Anxiety and Depression, and mood management, which I learned from a leader in the field, author Amy Weintraub.
I studied massage therapy more than 20 years ago and have qualifications and experience in pregnancy massage, deep tissue massage, swedish massage, sports massage, lymphatic drainage massage, acupressure, aromatherapy and Kahuna (lomi-lomi) massage.
I look forward to working with you.
